Nancy Ruby Warren, 80, died Oct. 22, 2024, peacefully in her sleep at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction. Nancy was currently living with her daughter Brenda and son in law Randy in Battlement Mesa. Born Jan. 27, 1944, in Pilar, N.M., she was the daughter of the late Jose and Adonilia Suazo.
Nancy married Raymond Warren; they resided in Del Norte. Nancy was retired from the United States Postal Service. Nancy was an avid crocheter. She made many items for family and friends.
Nancy loved going to the casino, reading, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. She also loved her cats and made sure the stray cats were never hungry.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Raymond, her parents, three brothers Alfonso, Roy, Herman, daughter Karen Mahaffey, and grandson Scott Hoaglund.
Nancy is survived by her brother Floyd Suazo, sister Dianna Schultz, daughters Brenda (Randy) Bowen, Cheryl (Kenny) Blanks, Cindy (John) Lind, grandchildren Brandie Chambers, Allison Chambers, Michael (Mandy) Warren, Kellen Bowen, Heather Lind (Marc Cassell), great-grandchildren Merek Chambers, London Warren, Strider Warren and Kiley Cassell.
We would like to thank her dearest friends Demitris, Robin and Judy for always being there for our mother. You will be forever in our hearts. Nancy will be loved and missed deeply.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the summer.
