Oversee the daily operations of the Department of Human Services. Plans, make decisions, and take appropriate action on issues as they arise, both internally and externally. Knowledge of principles and practices of social casework, social welfare administration, social research, and community economic, social and health resources. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other county departments, community groups and agencies, and members of the public. Ability to maintain high ethical standards and professionalism when interacting with community members, clients, and members of the public. PHYSICAL CONDITIONS: Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for sitting for prolonged periods of time and travel to and from various destinations.
