ALAMOSA – Both the Alamosa and Monte Vista high school girls golf teams participated in the Salida Invitational Thursday at the Salida Golf Club.
The Lady Mean Moose took third place with a score of 314. They were led by Hallie Henry who placed seventh with a 101, followed by Miya Spangler who was 10th with a 106, Khloe Spangler who was 11the with a 107, and Valeria Cendejas who was 19th with a 115.
The Lady Pirates were fourth with 318. Leading the way was Reagan Futrell who was fifth with a 100, followed by Kiera Sanchez and Krissa Padilla who bothtied for 13th with a 109, and Ellaree Rockey who was 18th with a 114.
Salida won the championship with 249, followed by Gunnison with 300.
Salida’s Kyndra Johnson was the medalist with a one-under-par 69.
Alamosa will host its annual tournament on Tuesday. Monte Vista will also compete in the tournament.
