Local man dies in crop duster crash

School graduate died in a crop dusting accident Friday morning after his plane crash landed in a barley field just inside the Alamosa County line off Road 6 East and Highway 112.

Conservation Corps gets youth outdoors

MONTE VISTA-- Summer is the perfect season for kids to go outside and get dirty.
Though school may be out, that doesn't mean the kids stop learning. Seven high schoolers from around the state participated in the Valley's Youth Conservation Corps to learn about wildlife while assisting parks and refuges with various tasks.
