MONTE VISTA--Bettie Ruth Bond, 94, passed away April 24, 2016 at her home in Monte Vista, surrounded by family.
She was born Aug. 25, 1921 in Del Norte to William and Ida Mae Bogart.

DEL NORTE--A Celebration of History and Culture will be held on April 30 at the Rio Grande County Museum and Cultural Center from 1 to 4 p.m. with an opening reception marking the beginning of the 2016 spring/summer season.
