SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Michael Jay Stivers, 48, died under hospice care July 16, 2010, after a lengthy illness.
He was born Jan. 23, 1962, in Omaha, Neb.
Michael graduated from Conestoga High School in Murray, Neb. and attended Adams State College.
He was an avid Harley Davidson Motorcycle enthusiast, loved fishing and hunting the outdoors, as well as his beloved dogs, Seiko, Harley and Princess. In his lifetime, he worked as a heavy equipment operator, welder, semi truck driver and computer analyst.
His grandparents, two siblings, a niece and Seiko and Harley preceded him in death.
Survivors include his parents, Richard (Ronda) Stivers of Auburn, Neb. and Faye (Doil) Peckumn or Del Norte, Colo.; his siblings, Michelle (James) Hansen of Omaha Neb., Kay (Rick) Pfieffer of Columbus, Neb., Dayle Lynne Walsh of Hebron, Ky., Dana Pierce of Grand Junction, Colo., Doil Lee Peckumn of Westwod, Calif., David Peckumn of Amarillo, Texas, Nate (Tracy) Neumeister of Nebraska City, Neb. and Cory Neumeister of Auburn, Neb., along with several nieces and neophews.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held later in Peru, Neb.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Del Valle or a charity of the donor’s choice.
